HAPPINESS CONSCIOUSNESS
yoga guide
by Petro Ruh

The
author of the book, Ukrainian orientalist and writer Petro Ruh, has
been practicing yoga since 1990 and claims that all the "eternal
problems of mankind" are really only the consequences of manifestations
of man's low nature, which can be very easily transformed into his high
nature that doesn’t cause any problems, but brings man and society all
the fullness of possible happiness, success and harmony, and that the
phenomenon of enlightenment is a natural phenomenon easily accessible
to everyone if he uses the correct simple natural yoga practice. This
guide is designed to make a wonderful and unexpected revolution in the
life of every person on Earth and provide humanity with simple natural
tools to realize all fantastic dreams.
INTRODUCTION
I very rarely meet people who understand yoga as a process of transforming man's low nature into his high nature. I very rarely meet people who understand what man's low nature is and what his high nature is. I even very rarely meet people who just understand the very fact of the existence of two human natures and the very fact of the existence of a natural mechanism of transformation of one nature into another. When I start discussing this with academics who are considered to be experts in yoga, they tell me concepts described in textbooks in philosophy, culturology and religious studies which unfortunately don’t contain any knowledge about these things. And this is what dooms humanity to remain in the circle of problems which are commonly called "eternal problems of mankind". Eternal problems mean unsolvable problems.
But the problems are really solvable if we understand them. And all the "eternal problems of mankind" are really only the consequences of manifestations of man's low nature, which can be very easily transformed into his high nature that doesn’t cause any problems, but brings man and society all the fullness of possible happiness, success and harmony.
When I tell venerable scholars about the phenomenon of enlightenment/holiness, they respond to me with phrases from textbooks calling it mystical and elusive. But this isn’t true. The phenomenon of enlightenment is a natural phenomenon easily accessible to everyone if he uses the correct simple natural yoga practice. This process is no more mystical and no more complex than the processes of respiration, digestion and other everyday processes of human life. And the most important thing is it gives results instantly.
And the only reason why it remains unused, uncomprehended, unaccepted by society and science is that the correct practice of yoga today is almost completely forgotten, and the original sources that describe it are translated, interpreted and commented on so erroneously that they become simply useless rubbish that no one can use in practice.
This guide is designed to make a wonderful and unexpected revolution in the life of every person on Earth and provide humanity with simple natural tools to realize all fantastic dreams.
"Yoga" means "integration". This means yoga is a natural process that gradually reveals and incorporates in a person the fullness of all aspects of his personality, builds a perfect interaction of all these aspects with each other and integrates this individual wholeness into the universal wholeness of life. I’ll explain this idea in simple words. The purpose of life is happiness. What do we all want to achieve in life? Well, of course, happiness. Happiness is a state of satisfaction, a state of joy, a state of bliss, a state when we feel highly well and comfortable, because all our aspirations, desires and dreams come true. One of the conditions of happiness is freedom. Because slavery is an unnatural state and makes happiness impossible. And what is freedom? It’s a possibility to do what you want, to be there and with those you want, not to be forced to do unwanted things and face unwanted things. Freedom is also an unlimited possibility to fulfill our desires.
We’ve already noticed, of course, that in the theme of happiness the theme of desires comes to the fore. Because they determine everything else. Do you remember fairy tales? All magical possibilities in fairy tales have one limitation: they don’t work if a person's desires are evil. Wishes must be good. This is the part of fairy tales that explains the main law of existence. Because all the magical possibilities are the natural possibilities of each whole individual who is integrated into the universal wholeness of life. And the universal wholeness of life is the absolute good. So only by becoming the absolute good we can become an integral part of life. Otherwise we remain separated from life. And this means we remain separated from happiness and deprived of freedom. Therefore, the focus of yoga is the quality of man's desires which depends on the quality of his consciousness. The quality of a person's consciousness is determined by which nature governs him: the low nature, the selfishness nature which separates an individual from life, or the high nature, the love nature which integrates him into life.
If you hear somewhere that yoga is a meditation on space, that yoga is something esoteric, exotic, mystical, know that all this is not about real yoga. If yoga has as its object of meditation something other than love in your own heart, if it is not as natural and spontaneous as your breathing, if there is mist, mysticism, exoticism and esotericism in it, know that it is not yoga, but some fake.
According to the natural destination of the human being as a species, life in the human body involves the voluntary conscious yoga practice. The essentially evolutionary nature of life provided living beings with an evolutionary ladder: step by step, life after life, birth in a body of a certain species, then in a body of a more developed species, an even more developed species. Living beings act according to the evolutionary program built into their consciousness. Such evolution course that has no alternative has been established for all living beings, except for the human. The human is the only species that has the freedom of choice: either to evolve very quickly, much faster than all other living beings, or to degrade, and this degradation can lead him to the lowest state of the lowest species. Freedom is the ability to act at will, not at built-in program. If a person wants to evolve, he practices yoga, which in one life can lead him to the highest state of evolution — to enlightenment.
This yoga guide which you hold in your hands consists of two parts. The first part is related to the thesis of the Bhagavad Gita, the most famous ancient text which contains instructions on yoga. The Bhagavad Gita describes yoga in the language and concepts of five thousand years ago, but thanks to my professional training as an orientalist, in particular an orientalist linguist, and also due to my experience in yoga practice for several decades and the results I’ve gained through my practice, I presented this text in a completely clear, understandable and suitable for practical application form. The Bhagavad Gita is written in Sanskrit, the language of our ancient Aryan ancestors. The Ukrainian language originates from Sanskrit and is one of the closest to Ukrainian in the Indo-European language family. One of the scientific hypotheses about the origin of the Bhagavad Gita is the assumption that the homeland of the Bhagavad Gita is the territory of Ukraine. The title of the work "Bhagavad Gita" means "God Song". It’s the most famous of the Sanskrit texts ever written. And I’m sure that studying it in terms of today's needs and demands of our practical life will give you not only many unexpected, interesting and very useful discoveries, but also help you master yoga as an art of happiness and reach the full implementation of happiness in your own life. The second part is my own realizations that will allow my disciple to experience subtle, deep aspects of practice. It was written in the tradition of Sufi masters in the form of poetic revelations and performs an even more important function than the first one.
