Halyna Koshulap
Halyna
Koshulap works as an interpreter/translator at the International
Republican Institute in Kyiv. Prior to joining IRI, Halyna worked for
twenty-six years as a teacher of English and was the finalist of the
Teaching Excellence Awards Program in 2002 (and had a chance to study
in the U.S.A. in this capacity in the same year). Halyna graduated as a
specialist on Romance and Germanic languages from Lviv National
University (1980). During 2006-2008 Halyna worked as an
interpreter/translator for the American Systems-MPRI in Ukraine and
then for the Ukrainian investment company STOLYTSIA.
She
is married with two children, the son, Yuriy, is twenty-seven years old
and the daughter, Iryna, twenty-nine years old. Iryna is a PhD student
at the Central European University in Budapest and presently lives
there. Yuriy is a PhD student at the CEU’s History Department.
Halyna
likes to learn other foreign languages when she has spare time. She is
also fond of translating poetry, as well as traveling, and music.
